Our family at La Alquería La Tanca in Puig Beach Valencia, would like to welcome you to the private holiday residence of artist and architect Roman Jiménez Iranzo.

The late Roman Jiménez Iranzo, founder of the school of architecture, municial architect of the city’s most prominent quarters professor and father of four purchased the XVIII century ruins of la Alquería located in the protect marshlands of la Tanca in 1970. “What did you do?,” exclaimed his father-in-law during their first visit, but Roman’s conviction was clear. With a profound vision that indulged the luxury of space and the incomparable beauty of nature, Roman rennovated the farmhouse in short time and already in 1971 his family of six began spending their most memorable summers in the home. Jimenez Iranzo was so inspired by his family time, in fact, that he built a library along side the pool, which served as his own retreat where he would draft architectural plans, paint according to his triangle geometric theory and read as the children play wildly in the pool.

Since Roman Jiménez Iranzo’s passing in 2005, the property has been host to numerous special events – primarily discrete corporate gatherings and weddings- in its garden space.

Now in July 2023, for the first time in almost 20 years, our team welcomes the feeling of warm hospitality in the Iranzo home.

The home offers 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms spread over 1’121m2 of constructed home a 4-meter deep natural water pool, many lounge spaces facing views of the French garden and pool, as well as a micro orchard of orange and lemon trees. On site, guests also enjoy the hospitality of our gourmet chefs’ kitchens.

The Golden Fork provides an unprecedented dining experience in the heart of Rabat. It is fascinated by nature and constantly inspired by traditional Maltese cuisine as well as the exquisite Mediterranean. Our newest menu, created by Executive Chef Letizia Vella, is based on the Chef’s personal memories and her childhood growing up in Malta. This visionary young chef believes in creating distinguished dishes that feed the soul.

The Golden Fork sources 80% of its fresh ingredients from local farmers and suppliers.
